Travel documents
Necessary Documentation
Before you travel, make sure you have all the documentation required for your itinerary. This documentation may be requested at check-in, before boarding, and upon arrival at your destination.
It is your responsibility to check that your travel documents meet the entry requirements for your destination country or any transit country. We recommend contacting the relevant embassy or immigration authorities directly to confirm the information applicable to your trip.
Please also allow enough time in advance to apply for any visas or entry permits, if required. For general information on passport, visa, and health requirements, visit the IATA Travel Centre.
Passenger Advanced Information (APIs)
This information is mandatory for authorities before starting a trip. LEVEL takes care of collecting and securely transmitting it. You can fill out the API form in the 'My Booking' section. Remember to have your passport on hand as you will need to provide specific information.
Even if you plan to check in at the airport, we recommend completing this information in advance.
Traveling to the United States
If you are traveling to or transiting through the United States, you should know that citizens of countries included in the Visa Waiver Program (ESTA) must request an electronic travel authorization.
If you have been to Cuba after January 12, 2021, and therefore have a Cuba stamp in your passport, You will not be able to process the ESTA and will need to apply for a B1 or B2 visa at the Consulate General or Consular Section of the United States Embassy in your place of residence.
You can apply for the ESTA through the official CBP Website.
When filling out the ESTA, it is very important that you enter your passport number correctly. The passport number can contain numbers and/or letters. There are some characters that are easily confused, such as the letter 'O' with the number zero '0' (Example: PAOXXXXXX) or the number '1' with the letter 'I'. Please make sure to distinguish them correctly.
For passengers traveling with a Spanish passport, the passport format includes 3 letters followed by 6 numbers.
Flights with destination Spain or in transit to another country in the Schengen Area
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PASSENGERS TRAVELLING TO SPAIN OR IN TRANSIT TO ANOTHER COUNTRY WITHIN THE SCHENGEN AREA:
It is a mandatory requirement for international passengers who do not hold a valid residence permit or visa (residence, studies, work, etc.) to be admitted at destination by border control authorities to hold a return ticket or a ticket to a third country within the applicable timeframe. Verification of this requirement is the responsibility of the operating airline.
Travelling without a valid return ticket, or cancelling it after boarding the outbound flight, may lead to significant issues if detected by the destination authorities, both for the airline and the passenger. In such cases, entry into the country may be refused and the passenger may be required to return to their place of origin, with the associated inconvenience.
With immediate effect, and in order to prevent such situations, as well as to ensure compliance with applicable obligations —including security and immigration requirements—, boarding will not be permitted on LEVEL flights where the passenger holds a one-way ticket and the return ticket has been issued less than 48 hours prior to the departure of the outbound flight.
Vaccines
You must comply with the health requirements of each country/region you are going to visit. Consult with your medical team about any health requirements you may need for visiting the destination country. We recommend doing this at least 6 weeks before traveling.
Medications
We recommend carrying any medical prescriptions or other medications that you cannot easily purchase in the destination country in your carry-on bag.
You should ensure that you have enough prescribed medication to cover all the days of your trip, even considering possible delays that may occur. Remember to bring your prescription or a letter from your medical team and keep the medications with you in your carry-on bag.
Travel Insurance
LEVEL does not sell travel insurance, but we recommend that you travel with suitable cover for you and your travel companions throughout your trip.
You can purchase insurance from the provider or platform of your choice, or check whether your credit card includes travel-related cover. Before you travel, make sure the policy meets your needs, including medical assistance, baggage cover and possible unexpected expenses during your trip.
